Diego López: "We have to grow from here"

The forward analyses what happened in the game against Villarreal CF on VCF Media
Diego López reviewed the team's 1-1 draw with Villarreal CF on Matchday 4 of the season.
A bittersweet feeling
I think we saw a Valencia CF similar to that of last season. In that aspect, we can be happy, but we leave here with a bittersweet taste in our mouths because of the good feeling we had during the match. Today, victory was necessary. We have to grow from here. We have to focus on the game, correct the move that led to their goal. I am the one who has to close them down so that they do not play that pass. These are details that make the difference between winning or drawing

A turning point
Perhaps we deserved the victory. Since the sending-off, it was a siege. We should have chosen our actions better and been a little calmer. We weren't able to get the win, but we leave with a point that will help us grow.

Fighting until the end
People want us to leave everything on the pitch, to run, to fight, for us to realise what team we are representing. In that aspect, I think they will leave happy, because they have seen that fighting, generous team. This is the way to go. I have no doubt that this way we will get victories.

Growing
It was important to take points. I think we will grow psychologically, little by little. We now have a difficult game away from home, but we have this week off so that the new players can integrate well and get to know the team. We will go to the Metropolitano to continue giving the showing we gave today. Hopefully, we will get the victory there.

His personal form
I am very happy. These have been wonderful months. I'm lucky that I had the opportunity to experience the Olympic Games. I have started the season well and now we have a match with the national team. Hopefully, I'll score more goals, get more assists and the team will win.
